2011 Edition Charts!

These official* Canadian Hydrographic Service Digital Charts are online marine raster charts for use
with Fugawi Marine ENC, Fugawi Global Navigator or Geonav MapMapster for Windows PC, or GPSNavX or MacENC for Mac OS X or iNavX™ App for iPad™, iPhone, or iPod touch.

Why are CHS charts the best choice?

  • These are official* Canadian Hydrographic Service Digital Charts which gives you assurance of data quality
  • These charts are updated several times per year (list of chart updates) All updates are free of charge for the duration of your subscription - non CHS charts may not have a readily identifiable release date and updates may not be provided consistently
  • Charts have look and feel of traditional paper charts familiar to recreational boaters
  • Charts downloaded directly to your compatible PC, Mac, or iPhone software, no CD to purchase or shipping to pay
  • Plot waypoints in Fugawi, GPSNavX or MacENC and transfer to iNavX App on iPhone, or vice versa
  • Transfer a saved track from iNavX App on iPhone back to Fugawi, or vice versa
  • Charts may be utilized in a variety of compatible PC, Mac OS X, iPhone and iPad software
  • Subscription is for a single person and includes one activation plus one additional activation to a backup device
  • Charts may be downloaded at your leisure throughout the subscription period - download one, two or all charts quickly and easily
  • Downloaded maps are stored on your hard drive for offline use

  4. To use the charts in GPSNavX or MacENC, download the free OS X File Uploader
  5. To use the charts in iNavX, click on Setup, then X-Traverse Account - enter your X-Traverse Email and Password - from the main menu, select Add More Charts to Menu, then turn ON the region to which you subscribed - now click on the region and select any map to download it directly to your iNavX App

Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I move Waypoints between Fugawi and iPhone?
Yes. Your X-Traverse Data Account allows you to easily transfer waypoints and tracks between Fugawi on the PC or GPSNavX / MacENC on the Mac and iNavX on the iPhone via the internet. Now you can plan your route comfortably in Fugawi and upload the waypoints to iNavX - using the exact same charts on both your PC and your iPhone.

*Since these charts are Official, do I still need to carry paper charts on my vessel?
Yes. While the CHS charts are official and updated raster copies of the paper maps, the systems used to distribute and display the charts are not ECDIS approved. Ensure you are familiar with the Canada Shipping Act and the Charts and nautical Publications Regulations. Also ensure you are familiar with relevant Notices to Mariners and Sailing Directions, which may provide supplementary information to the chart.
